converting table to matrix after asdocx

I was wondering if it is possible to generate a matrix from the asdocx output? for example

asdocx tabulate diam_catnew `variabletest', ///
cchi2 cell chi2 column expected lrchi2 row V

and then store the table as a matrix, so I can then extract specific values from that matrix and construct another matrix from there all automatic.

asdocx creates a string matrix in Mata. That matrix is available for modification and re-export using the flexmat package, that is part of asdocx. See this example
